Monthly we visit a local convalescent facility to spend time with the residents, read Scripture, sing praise songs and hymns and to speak of salvation in Christ. Many of the residents are stricken with Alzheimer’s and have few moments of lucidity. We pray that we are a comfort. So many seniors and residents in these types of facilities are lonely, in pain and without Christ. There is comfort in the knowledge and message of Christ – a hope better than any worldly hope. We pray that we are faithful to sow the seeds of the gospel and depend upon the grace of God and the work of the Spirit for salvation.
