IBC gained a better understanding of the glory of Christ during our 15th annual retreat in del Mar, CA. Dr. Greg Harris, from The Master’s Seminary, delicately led us through a sermon series based on his book, The Darkness and the Glory which expounds the cup that the Lord willing drank on our behalf. There was a sense of understanding not only Satan’s efforts to hold Christ back from the cross but also paradoxically Satan’s all out effort to bring Jesus to the cross. Christ though was the victor and in death and resurrection, accomplished the atonement necessary for those He would save. We delighted in hearing the glory of Christ preached and highly recommend Dr. Harris’ book. In the coming weeks, audio of the retreat will become available from our media page.
