Japan Update 8/3/09

Hi everyone! It’s Shelley. We are so thankful for all of your prayers! So far things have been smooth, and the weather has been cooler than previous summers. Today was a prep day for Bible and English at Inochi No Izumi Christ Church. Doi-sensei wanted to make sure we had enough energy, so he took us to a kaiten sushi restaurant for lunch. I was a little worried because I don’t like raw fish but the shrimp tempura rolls and tonkatsu roll were yummy. Then we exchanged money at a bank and went back to church to prep all afternoon. When we tested the game Apples to Apples, Doi-sensei’s first card was Winnie the Pooh, his nickname! Gabe and Jennifer prepared their lessons for the intermediate class, and Sarah and I helped Ray prep for the beginner class.
